The shooting occurred outside a local sweets shop, prompting a swift police response. Officers discovered the victim, identified as Gagan Aahi, had been shot in the head. Immediate efforts were made to transport Aahi to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Investigations reveal that two individuals on a motorcycle allegedly fired at Aahi during a so-called patch-up meeting. Law enforcement has already detained one suspect and seized the motorcycle believed to have been used in the crime. Meanwhile, a manhunt is underway to locate the second suspect. Authorities have filed charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act.
