More than 20 vehicles were damaged after a fire ripped through a carport early Friday at a San Jose condominium complex, firefighters said.
Emergency crews responded around 2:01 a.m. to the 200 block of Shadow Run Drive following reports of a vehicle fire.
The blaze destroyed a detached carport and left vehicles with varying degrees of damage. The heat from the fire was so intense, it cracked windows in nearby homes.
No injuries were reported, and no nearby structures were involved. No residents were displaced.
The fire was under control by 3:03 a.m.
Meanwhile, residents are left trying to process the aftermath of a fire that left so many cars beyond repair.
An investigation is ongoing.
