The Chicago Bears have one of the NFL’s most electrifying quarterbacks, but it’s their rushing attack that’s off to an incredible start.
D’Andre Swift got the Bears’ first touchdown of the game in the second quarter of the contest, giving him seven scores so far on the young season.
What’s even more remarkable is how many rushing touchdowns the Bears already have as a team, with the score the 14th rushing tally the team has generated through seven games.
According to NFL.com, that performance through the first seven games of the season is the Bears’ best in 70 years since they started the 1956 season with 16 touchdowns in seven contests.
Kyle Monangai, who has missed the team’s last three games, also has three rushing touchdowns on the year, and quarterback Caleb Williams has a pair of scores for the Monsters of the Midway.
For those curious, the most rushing touchdowns a Bears running back has had in a single season is 14, a record shared by Gale Sayers and Walter Payton.
