Third bomb threat in 3 days at Allentown high school

For the third day in a row, police responded to a bomb threat at William Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The latest threat was reported around 11:13 a.m. Thursday prompting a response from the Allentown Police Department’s Patrol Division and Community Outreach Unit.

Officers worked alongside school administrators and the Allentown Fire Department to clear the school. No threat was found, police said.

Thursday’s incident marked the third consecutive day that police responded to a reported bomb threat at the high school.

The latest scare came as investigators announced that two teens, ages 15 and 16, are each facing a felony charge of terroristic threats in connection with Wednesday’s bomb threat.

The string of threats began Tuesday, when another bomb threat was reported at the school. A 16-year-old was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats in connection with that incident.

In total, three teenagers have been accused of making terroristic threats in connection with the incidents reported Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police said the investigation remains active. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 610-437-7721.
