Savannah Bananas to bring first-ever ‘Banana Ball 360' game to Notre Dame

The Savannah Bananas are used to high-profile spectacles, but they’ll try something completely unprecedented at Notre Dame next year.

“Two baseball diamonds on the same field”-level unprecedented.

The team has played in college football stadiums before, and will do so again during their 2027 season, but things will be radically different when they take on the Texas Tailgaters at Notre Dame Stadium next summer.

That’s because the game will be the first-ever “Banana Ball 360” game, according to the team.

The way it will work is that there will be two diamonds set up on the football field at the iconic South Bend stadium. The game will alternate between the two diamonds according to the team, allowing fans on both ends of the stadium to get an up-close glimpse at the action.

According to the Bananas, the ticket lotteries for the 2027 season are getting underway now, with drawings to come next year for fans interested in buying tickets to the June 26, 2027 game.

Notre Dame Stadium will not be the only college football venue to host Banana Ball next season. Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium will host the Banana Ball Kickoff in February, while Tiger Stadium, home to LSU, will host the Bananas on March 6.

Several NFL stadiums will also play host to the sport, including Chicago’s Soldier Field on July 10 and 11.

The Banana Bowl, the final contest of the Banana Ball season, will be played at the brand-new Nissan Stadium in Nashville next September.

Ticket information can be found on the Bananas’ website.
