Hurts talks mindset as a freshman at Alabama: “I’m going to make all these motherf***ers leave”

Jalen Hurts revealed his mindset heading into his freshman season at Alabama in ESPN’s “Saban” docuseries.

“When I came in as a freshman the year before, I looked at the room; there were some great quarterbacks, but they couldn’t do the things that I could do,” Hurts said.

Hurts started as a freshman at quarterback for Alabama. He led the Tide to an SEC Championship victory, and he put Alabama in position to win the National Championship that season. Unfortunately, Alabama fell short to Clemson in the National Championship after Hurts put the Tide up late.

The quarterback said he had plans to become the starter right away in Tuscaloosa.

“I’m going to make all these motherf***ers leave,”  Hurts said while reflecting back on how he felt as a true freshman in the Tide’s quarterback room.

The “Saban” docuseries will be available to stream on the ESPN app on Thursday at 5 p.m. CT.
