Police are investigating the death of a Southern California Edison contractor who reportedly experienced a medical emergency at a construction site in Alhambra on Wednesday.
The Alhambra Fire Department responded to an Edison facility on South Marengo Avenue for a reported medical emergency around 7 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Randy Miranda.
The contractor, described only as a young man who worked for All Power Systems, was taken to the hospital and later died.
“This is hard news for all of us at Southern California Edison,” a SoCal Edison spokesperson said. “We are aware of the incident involving a contractor working on a construction project in Alhambra and are actively gathering information about what occurred.”
This is a developing story.
