In a surprise move, Derwin James will be inactive for the Chargers as they take on the Seahawks on the road in Seattle. James had been playing with a pinky injury, but supposedly suffered a hamstring injury this week that did not progress enough for him or the staff to feel confident in his ability on the field.

That’s a tough blow for Chris O’Leary’s unit that’s now tasked with stopping wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the league’s reigning Offensive Player of the Year. It’s also unfortunate that, in a game where the Seahawks may put up quite a few points, that the Chargers offense still hasn’t figured out how to do the same.

The Chargers have only scored 44 points in three games, which isn’t all that much more than what the Bills were averaged through the first two weeks of the season (38.0). But hey, crazy things happen all the time. Remember those five turnovers the defense recorded last week (ignore the end result)?

Maybe the Chargers offense goes nuclear in the game that everyone expects it the least. Wouldn’t that be something?

Well, the only thing left to do is watch and hope. Keep it right here for a complete live recap of today’s game.
