The killings followed a confrontation between the Kokorat San Ras gang and a Sri Lankan contingent of the Gang Suppression Force (GSF), according to Gros-Morne Mayor Hubert Cénéac. The force has been conducting operations outside Haiti’s capital as part of an international effort to help Haitian authorities confront violent armed groups.
