It's not unusual in today's world to see bike makers and carmakers join efforts to create crossover products. We've seen that most recently in the KTM Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition, and earlier in the AMB 001 or the Ducati Diavel for Bentley. If I remember correctly, though, American bike maker Harley-Davidson never did this kind of crossover.
