Comment on Colorado faces $1.6 billion budget deficit as Medicaid costs mushroom, state officials say by Dick MOORE

I read somewhere that 1 out of 5 Colorado citizens receive some form of Medicaid. It must be reigned in quickly. It must be audited professionally for fraud and waste. Only then will legislatures have a reasonable idea how to solve this problem. Beware, the legislature will first try to solve this by eliminating TABOR. It's TABOR that is saving us now or the Legislature would just increase taxes instead of solving the problem by realizing that they need to review their services. The real answer lies with the Federal government. It will eventually be figured out that we need to nationalize Healthcare. I hate socialism but believe that healthcare should be free for everyone, just like our national guard. Then the State would be out of the Medicare business along with Health Insurance companies. It will happen eventually as it makes too much sense. The main point here is don't let them fool you by believing that this is TABOR's fault. This will happen quickly.
