Hatians farmers needs to be careful., not every investments is good investment. Do not except GMO seeds, use your own seed, and dont use pestecide in the soil. If you do, in a few years your soil will be destroy just like theirs. Domincans may be able to grow cheaper food, but it comes at a cost. As someone living temporary in the dominican Republic, I will tell you the food is bad, it rots before you have a chance to eat it, and no taste. Haitian soil is still clean.Haitian should not follow Dominican or Americans, Haitians should grow there food organically. Haitian farmers use to feed the country, and shoukd continue do so, if you take gmo seeds from these organization, you will have to depend on them for new seeds every time. Do you want someone to control your food. Dont trust them! Gmo seeds are not safe.
