Kentucky football pulled off the upset of the year (so far) on Saturday in their 31-21 win at No. 9 Texas A&M.
Head coach Will Stein and the Wildcats not only beat a good A&M team but were able to do so in commanding force after collapsing just a week prior when ahead of No. 12 Alabama.
Kentucky’s win was full of gutsy decisions, elite level playmaking and absolute poise when under pressure.
The Wildcats will be back on their home field this Saturday to host South Alabama (their second of three non-conference games on this season’s schedule) where they are considerable favorites.
ESPN’s Football Power Index is giving UK better than a 90 percent chance to win with Draftkings having the current point spread at -20.5 in favor of the Wildcats.
Kentucky (2-1) will look to build off of this past Saturday’s win and create some serious momentum heading into a four-week stretch of South Alabama, South Carolina, No. 10 LSU, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
The Wildcats need and surely will take things one game at a time, but if they can string together a couple of wins… October 10th’s game against LSU looks very interesting.
