Kentucky football is only two games into the Will Stein era, and while things didn’t look overly promising against Alabama last weekend, that doesn’t mean the future is as murky as the present.
Stein did well putting together a strong transfer portal class, but a quick offseason is not nearly enough time to completely rebuild a football program, especially in the Southeastern Conference.
Of course, Stein’s focus is (and should be) on winning games this season, but it’s hard to ignore the success future Kentucky quarterback Jake Nawrot is having so far in his senior year of high school.
The John Hersey standout has thrown for over 1,100 yards over his team’s first four games and connected on a whopping 14 touchdowns while completing 68 percent of his throws without a single interception.
Oh, and his team is undefeated.
The 2027 UK commit is ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in his class and 65th overall prospect.
Big Blue Nation should definitely be excited for what the remainder of this season could potentially look like but it’s hard to ignore what’s coming in the near future for Kentucky football.
