Last week, Adan Diggs trimmed his list of schools under consideration to seven. Now, he’s scheduled a couple of visits to those schools, including Kentucky.
Joe Tipton of On3 reported Wednesday that the top-five prospect will visit Arkansas and Kentucky in October. The visit to Fayetteville is on October 10-11, and he will head to Lexington on October 22-23.
That timeline puts Diggs on campus for Kentucky’s preseason exhibition game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Diggs is ranked No. 7 overall in the ESPN Top 100 and No. 6 overall in the 247Sports Top 150, and is also slotted as the best shooting guard/combo guard in the 2027 class. He is a 6-foot-4, super versatile guard with two-way ability.
On the EYBL circuit, Diggs averaged 18.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks a game playing for Vegas Elite. The numbers are exciting, but efficiency is where reality sets in. He finished the EYBL circuit with 33% from 3-point range and 77% from the charity stripe. He won’t let those numbers get in his head too much and will continue to let the ball fly, where he has shown time and time again that he is capable of catching fire.
Getting Diggs on campus is a step in the right direction. Many reports from numerous people suggest that Arizona is the team to beat, with him being born and raised there, but Mark Pope and the Kentucky staff won’t go down without a fight.
