The Washington Commanders are back at practice, and it’s Dallas Cowboys week. Both teams are coming off disappointing division losses and will be looking to climb out of the NFC East basement. Washington announced several roster moves before today’s practice, including placing LB Jordan Magee (hamstring) on injured reserve, and signing veteran iOL Lucas Patrick. Dan Quinn said Tyler Owens will practice today after injuring his ankle during a return on Sunday. LB Frankie Luvu (groin) and TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) were also injured on Sunday, and won’t practice today. Quinn said there’s some uncertainty on their availability vs the Cowboys, and they would know more later in the week.

Quinn said Mike Sainristil’s play was unacceptable after multiple mental mistakes led to Eagles’ scores. He focused on fixing those mistakes today, and said he still has a lot of confidence in the third-year corner, and said he’ll be leveling up. Fans waiting for Trey Amos to return from injured reserve to replace Sainristil in the lineup might have to wait longer than they want. Amos broke his fibula last November, and then suffered an ankle injury to the same leg after he returned during training camp. Quinn said that even after the four-game minimum games missed for going on IR he would still need to practice and ramp up for a return to the field.
