It didn’t take Kwity Paye long to make an impact with the Las Vegas Raiders.
In his first game as a Raider, after signing a three-year, $48 million deal in free agency, Paye provided a major pass-rush burst. Paye had two of the Raiders’ five sacks also had six total tackles. He had a team high four quarterback hits.
He and superstar Maxx Corsby showed the makings of a dynamic pass-rush tandem.
Paye made his huge impact in a fairly limited role. He played in 57 percent of the snaps. So, he made a great impact base don how much he was on the field.
Last season, with the Indianapolis Colts, Paye, who turns 28 in November, averaged playing 62 percent of the season. He had just four sacks. In his career, Paye, a first-round draft pick out of Michigan by the Colts in 2021, has averaged playing 64 percent of the snaps and he has 32.5 career sacks.
So, he is off to a really strong start to his Raiders’ career.
