Flyers’ 2026-27 promotional schedule features goalie glove oven mitt, Gritty dumpling

Hockey is in the air and we are just a few weeks from the 2026-27 NHL regular season getting underway.

The Philadelphia Flyers already have two wins under their belts, at least in the Rookie Series, and on Tuesday, the team gave a glimpse into what fans could look forward to experiencing and receiving at the Xfinity Mobile Arena this season.

Of course, we’re talking about the Flyers’ 2026-27 promotional schedule, with giveaways, theme nights, and more.

Flyers fans are certainly getting some wild giveaways

As the Flyers enter their 60th season, they’re introducing what they’re calling “Independence Edition” games. These are 10 games that will “highlight the City of Brotherly Love through special activations and in-game promotions,” as inspired by Philadelphia’s rich history.

The Flyers are going to have a new alternate jersey this year, likely featuring the Liberty Bell logo that was on the rug on draft night.

That was once again teased in the promo schedule video, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Flyers end up wearing that new look in these Independence Edition games.

The Flyers first Independence Edition game is on Tuesday, Nov. 3 against the Wild, with the final game on Thursday, March 18 against the Bruins.

There will also be several theme games throughout the season, with a full list below:

  • Monday, February 22 vs. Montreal Canadiens — Business Person Special presented by Bank of America
  • Saturday, January 30 vs. Winnipeg Jets — Kids Day presented by Xfinity    
  • Tuesday, March 16 vs. Detroit Red Wings — PECO Go Green Game | Flyers Corduroy Hat giveaway
  • Tuesday, March 30 vs. Pittsburgh —  Keystone Rivalry Game presented by Ticketmaster | Flyers Sweatshirt giveaway

It’s worth noting that the Feb. 22 game against the Canadiens is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. puck drop as the league experiments with more weekday matinee games this season. There will also be the classic Halloween Spooktacular, the Holiday Specatular, and more.

Along with the theme games are community games, honoring different parts of the hockey community throughout Philadelphia.

While the Flyers Charities Carnival has yet to be officially scheduled, it’s interesting that the Flyers Carnival Game is taking place in October this year. Could we get an early carnival as well?
