Opening odds is back! The Indianapolis Colts season is underway, and FanDuel is bringing the action. Things kicked off at home, but Week 2 finds the Colts on the road against the vaunted Kansas City Chiefs. The season didn’t start the way fans desired. Now, the Colts need to find a way to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start. FanDuel has the Colts as road dogs at +6.5 in the spread.
The money line comes in at +235 with the over/under at 47.5.
The game couldn’t have started any better as the Colts walked down the field and put up six on the Ravens immediately. Things went sideways right after that as Spencer Shrader missed the extra point. It was a foreboding sign of things to come as the Ravens scored the next 28. Giving up 31 points before halftime was a recipe for disaster as the Colts never truly got back into this one.
The Chiefs don’t kick their season off until Monday night against the Broncos. This is a huge game to start the season for both teams. It is in Kansas City which will mean advantage Chiefs with a returning Patrick Mahomes. It was a rare down year for the Chiefs, and Denver took full advantage by claiming the No. 1 seed in the AFC. It should be a good one to kick off the season.
Two quarterbacks return from season-ending injuries to face off in primetime on Sunday Night Football. The Colts will be in desperation mode. The Chiefs could be as well. Either way, the Colts need to find a way to win. Otherwise, they will have a long climb back to get things on track.
