This road trip has been absolutely miserable. Last night, the Nats made history with their 38th blown save. Now they will look to actually win a game. They are 0-5 on this west coast swing and will look to at least win one game in sunny California.
Blake Butera will be making some lineup alterations. Andres Chaparro will play third base in this one. Nasim Nunez is back at shortstop which pushes the struggling CJ Abrams to second base. Keibert Ruiz and Jacob Young are also back in the lineup. Jackson Kent will be on the mound.
With a lefty on the hill, the Padres will make some changes. Austin Hays, Samad Taylor and Jase Bowen will all be in the lineup. Fernando Tatis Jr. will go from the outfield to second base. Luis Campusano goes from DH to catcher. Veteran Walker Buehler will be on the mound.
