
An investigation was underway in Homestead on Saturday morning after two people were stabbed, police said.
According to Homestead Police, officers arrived at the 1500 block of South East 24th Court after receiving reports of a stabbing.
At the scene, two victims were found.
One of the victims was airlifted to the hospital and was seen on a stretcher with a blood-stained cloth on top of them, while the other victim was taken out of an ambulance, and was also on a stretcher and had a bandage wrapped around their head.
The two victims remain in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital South.
Their identities were not released.
At the crime scene, the mailbox area at the complex was taped off.
Video from the scene showed authorities combing for clues. Deputies were seen taking photos and placing evidence inside a brown paper bag.
NBC6 cameras captured a car being towed from the community and being followed by Homestead Police.
It remains unclear what connection the car has to the investigation.
Police have not released a description of a suspect.
