The search for a 10-year-old girl who has been missing for months is intensifying throughout Central Florida.
Gabby Terrelonge was last seen on June 30, getting off a Greyhound bus at the Florida Mall in Orlando
After her disappearance, agencies from all over the state have joined the search, including in Osceola County.
Detectives leading the case were back in Osceola County on Tuesday to follow up on leads.
The sheriff’s office held a strategy meeting with detectives from Margate Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the FBI.
Deputies canvassed an abandoned hotel, which was one of the places where Terrelonge and her mother frequented.
Her mother, Passha Davis, was arrested Oct. 17 by Margate Police after a Dollar Tree reported someone matching her description shoplifted and then entered a Little Caesars pizza shop across the street.
Davis was interviewed in jail by law enforcement on Oct. 31 and claimed she had turned the child over to the father, Gordon Terrelonge. Hours later, she was released on a $200 bond, but rearrested days later on child neglect charges after police could find no evidence supporting her claim she had turned the child over to the father.
“I’ve been pretty much in my head thinking of the worst, a nightmare,” said Gabby’s father, Gordan Terrelonge, over the phone.
Gordan has been cooperating with law enforcement and even took a polygraph test.
“I don’t have Gabby at all, and that’s a problem,” he said over the phone. “We need to find Gabby.”
No updates were provided from the latest search attempt, but there’s a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that helps officials find Gabby.
