It's a wonderful, timely article. I happen to have liked viewing lupines not only in California, including farther south in the Central Coast region, and in low Arizona during its very brief springs, but enjoying also the color combination of the lupines with the poppies -- and as seen here, other flowers contribute. To that in the Central Coast region and elsewhere one adds the small bright yellow wild mustard flower.
