Inside NJ.com’s epic shark tale: Blood, panic and Jersey’s ‘Jaws’ legacy
Bill Gordon struggles in the surf as he is attacked by a nearly 7-foot long sand tiger shark during a research expedition in Cape May. Gordon suffered a devastating leg wound that required a tourniquet applied by this photographer to stop the bleeding.

Spielberg’s thriller “Jaws” came out in 1975. I couldn’t believe it when I read that in Adam Clark’s epic shark tale.
