Multi-lane closures this weekend on Brent Spence Bridge

Multiple lane closures will take place on the Brent Spence Bridge this weekend, according to an announcement from the Ohio Department of Transportation. The closures will allow work crews to make repairs at key points on the bridge.

Closures had, in fact, already occurred overnight Thursday, but the bridge reopened Friday morning.

A triple-lane closure on the southbound lanes (on the top deck) will begin at 9 p.m. I-75 south will be reduced to one lane from just north of the approach of the bridge, near the 3rd Street overpass, to south of the merge with I-71.

Direct access from I-71 south will be closed. Southbound closures will continue until 6 a.m. Monday or until the concrete repairs have cured.

Northbound lanes (on the bottom deck) will undergo double-lane closures beginning 11 p.m. on Friday and are scheduled to reopen sometime Saturday evening or until crews have completed their work.
