After four seasons with the Chargers, offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer is heading out to the opposite coast to join the Dolphins.

The former sixth-round pick out of Georgia has been a consistent and reliable player for the Bolts since joining the team, notably helping fill in for injured starters during the 2022 and 2025 seasons, both of which ended in trips to the postseason.

In 2022, as a rookie, Salyer filled in for Rashawn Slater at left tackle after the latter went down with a torn biceps in Week Three. This past season, he filled in at a number of positions including left tackle and right guard.

With all the Chargers’ horrible luck up front this decade, Salyer has always been there to help keeps things afloat as much as possible and that’s earn the respect from fans and coaches, alike. However, the move to McDaniel’s wide zone-centered offense immediately made Salyer and skillset a tough fit. The massive blocker was better suited for Greg Roman’s gap scheme and the Chargers now need more athletic movers up front.
