Former Hollyoaks star Roxanne McKee has officially entered a brand-new chapter of her life: motherhood.

The actress has given birth to twins, just three months after announcing her engagement to her long-term but previously secret partner.

Roxanne, who first captured viewers’ hearts as glamorous Louise Summers on the Channel 4 soap, shared the joyful news on Instagram, posting a series of intimate photos cuddling her newborn babies.

Dressed casually and glowing with happiness, the 44-year-old actress captioned her post: ‘Less sleep, more love ❤️❤️’

The touching message instantly sparked an outpouring of congratulations from fans and fellow stars alike.

Among those sending their love was Hollyoaks co-star Jamie Lomas, who played her infamous on-screen fiancé, Warren Fox.

He wrote, ‘Congratulations to you all,’ while actor Mike Parr added, ‘So happy for you mate x.’

The comments section was soon flooded with hearts and well-wishes from adoring fans who have followed Roxanne’s journey since her soap debut nearly two decades ago.

A secret love story and a summer of surprises

The actress first revealed her pregnancy back in August, delighting followers with a series of maternity photos taken in classic Calvin Klein underwear, showing off her growing baby bump.

In the same week, she also announced her engagement, a double surprise that left her fans thrilled.

Roxanne has kept her relationship largely out of the public eye, preferring to keep her private life separate from her career.

However, she gave followers a rare glimpse into her romance when she posted loved-up pictures of her and her partner holding hands and sharing a kiss, describing him as her ‘biggest supporter and best friend.’

Soap stardom and a dramatic exit

Roxanne McKee’s rise to fame began in 2005 when she joined the cast of Hollyoaks as the stylish, strong-willed Louise Summers.

Her character quickly became one of the show’s central figures, known for her fiery relationships, ambition, and flair for drama.

Up Next

Louise’s storylines were often among the soap’s most talked-about, but nothing could prepare viewers for her shocking exit in 2008.

In one of Hollyoaks’ most unforgettable Christmas episodes, Louise met a tragic fate at the hands of her fiancé Warren Fox after discovering his dark secret, that he had murdered Sean Kennedy.

Warren strangled her to death on their wedding day and set her body alight in a hotel room to cover his tracks, leaving audiences stunned.

Even today, fans recall the episode as one of the most gripping and emotional moments in Hollyoaks’ history.

The shocking twist not only cemented Roxanne’s reputation as a gifted actress but also demonstrated her ability to bring both strength and vulnerability to complex roles.

Despite Louise’s apparent demise, Roxanne has since teased that the door might not be completely closed for her character. Speaking in a previous interview with Digital Spy, she hinted:

‘Well, Louise might not be dead! That’s the exciting twist in the future… On screen, you’ll feel like she’s dead, but depending on me and whether I want to come back for an episode, I might be back.’

She went on to reveal that she filmed an extra scene suggesting her character may have survived, adding playfully:

‘It would be really good, though, I’d be going back to kill a few people off!’

Life after Hollyoaks

Since leaving Hollyoaks, Roxanne has built a diverse and international acting career, proving that her talents extend far beyond the soap world.

More recently, she’s taken on roles in festive romantic comedies such as Picture Perfect Royal Christmas and in thrillers like The Admirer. In 2025, she gave horror fans a fright with her performance as Xana in the gory reimagining Bambi: The Reckoning, proving she’s never afraid to explore new genres.

Beyond acting, Roxanne is a passionate advocate for health and wellness. An avid rock climber and fitness enthusiast, she often shares workout routines and healthy recipes with her followers. Her dedication to staying active has become part of her brand.

A new role: motherhood

Now, with the arrival of her twins, Roxanne has stepped into what may be her most rewarding role yet: motherhood.

While she’s chosen to keep details such as her babies’ names private, her radiant photos and heartfelt caption reveal the joy and fulfilment she’s found in this new chapter.

For fans who have watched her journey from soap newcomer to international actress, it’s heartwarming to see the star enjoying family life after years of professional success.

And though her days on Hollyoaks may seem like a lifetime ago, Roxanne remains one of the show’s most memorable and beloved alumni.
