HYDERABAD: Former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin took charge as the Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Minister at the Secretariat here on Monday.
He assumed charge in the presence of his family and amidst prayers by Muslim clerics. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other cabinet Ministers congratulated Azharuddin on the occasion. The former cricketer was inducted into the cabinet on October 31 and was allotted portfolios on November 4.
