We need to have enforced national standards for all things election-related on both the state and federal levels. Politicians need to be held to a higher standard than the average citizen and held accountable when they do not live up to them – starting with a full background check and requirements for education to even enter a race. A person's brain (pre-frontal cortex/reasoning skills) isn't even fully developed until the age of 25. Yet here we have kids his age and virtually no college education and a U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert who's a high school dropout and Qanon crazy with a gun! I do not want these kind of people making decisions about how I am going to live. And if all those who incited this insurrection are not expelled from congress then we can expect more of these liars and gaslighters.
This has been the Republican party (formerly named Democrats) from the very beginning and as far as I'm concerned, at this point, the entire Republican party can sit down and stfu. Sorry for the rant but after 50 years of watching this b.s. I'm at my wit's end.
