But here’s the fing problem: what if you have a high pick in a crappy QB class year?
Kenny Pickett was the first QB picked in 2022… Having high picks is nice, however guarantees nothing since you: 1) can’t control the class quality, 2) need to use those picks wisely by selecting the right players, and 3) need to develop them.
None of these steps are guaranteed. Heck, how many high picks have the Jets and Browns got over the years…?
But hiring McCarthy? What a disaster…
