That's the fault of the team, not the rule. If teams actually approach interviews like this, it speaks to the arrogance of team ownership. With how many bad coaching hires there are, the idea that a team would be so arrogant as to go into an interview solely to satisfy a rule with zero intent of even giving the candidate consideration is incredibly patronizing and lazy on the part of the team. It's not the rule's fault that some teams are run by clowns.
