UFC 324 has lost another fight following a frightening scene.
At Friday’s official weigh-ins for the event, bantamweight Cameron Smotherman fell flat on his face after successfully weighing in for his fight with Ricky Turcios, which was set to take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.
On-site medical staff immediately rushed in to help Smotherman, who remained on stage for some time before being helped up from the floor. The 28-year-old appeared to be conscious, but later had to be carried off the stage.

It was later announced that Smotherman vs. Turcios is officially off of the UFC 324 lineup.
There was more drama at the official weigh-ins with two veterans missing weight: Two-time UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo came in at 138.5 pounds for a bantamweight bout with Umar Nurmagomedov, and Alex Perez weighed in at 128.5 pounds for a flyweight bout with Charles Johnson.
Both came in 2.5 pounds over the limit for their respective contests, which will proceed as scheduled with Figueiredo and Perez forfeiting 20 percent of their purses as penalty.
Fortunately for fans, there were no hiccups when it came to the interim lightweight championship main event between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett. Pimblett was the first fighter to show up and came in a pound under the championship limit at 154 pounds, while Gaethje was last to step to the scale, making weight at 155 pounds.
Bantamweight co-main event competitors Sean O’Malley (135.5) and Song Yadong (136) also made weight without issue.
