I met Faye through her sister, Paula, at the Cupertino Historical Society. Faye was always very quietly kind, friendly, and welcoming to me. My Aunt Teresa taught in the middle and upper grades at the Cupertino Union School for 30 years. Faye told me that my "Aunt Tessie" had been an excellent teacher, she learned a lot from her, and was her favorite teacher. I hadn't mentioned my aunt, and Faye's words were comforting to me.
