Denmark has been a loyal friend and ally of the United States since its inception. We have had friendly diplomatic relations with Denmark since 1801. They have been loyal NATO allies since its formation after WWII. After 9/11, per our request, Danish soldiers joined us in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
