FBI searches for bank robber caught on camera in Fort Lauderdale

The FBI is searching for a bank robber who was caught on surveillance cameras in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday.

The robbery happened at 11:02 a.m. at Fifth Third Bank at 808 Southeast 17th Street.

The FBI said the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

No one was injured.

It was not immediately clear how much money the robber may have gotten away with.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the South Florida Violent Crime and Fugitive Task Force and the FBI are investigating. Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to tips.fbi.gov.
