There’s no rest for the weary. After yesterday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the Utah Jazz will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at home. It looks like the Jazz will be without Lauri Markkanen again in this one, who is out with illness again. They’ll also be without Brice Sensabaugh.
At this point in the season, the Utah Jazz have to be looking at the standings in the tank race. Utah is well known to be in a situation where they can lose their pick if they fall outside the bottom-eight of the draft. More of these losses keep them away from the playoffs and also help them secure their pick. At this point, the Jazz should do everything they can to drop further in the standings. The more lottery balls, the better.
