Comment on Roethlisberger Gives Offseason Plan To Fix The Steelers by MC
In reply to Jason. The Niners went 5-3 this season with Mac Jones starting. He threw over 300 yards in 3 of those games whereas Rodgers didn't eclipse 300 yards at all this season. During that span the niners were without Kittle, Ayuik, Pearsall and at times, Jennings. Their Oline was much worse than the steelers also. If you think Tomlin and his OCs are getting that production out of such a depleted roster you're kidding yourself. That's a team that's well coached and even won a playoff game this season with the third most players on IR including the likes of Bosa and Warner, two of the best players in the league. Of course I don't wanna see more turnovers, but if you avoid the middle of the field, opponent DCs jobs are much easier defending us and we've watched that happen for years and people like me are sick of seeing numbers like this year in and year out: Yards per attempt: 6.27 (31st in NFL) Average depth of target (ADOT): 5.9 yards (31st) Total air yards: 82 (30th) First-read percentage: 26.7% (32nd) Check-down rate: 40% (32nd) Passing yards per game: 213.6 Pickens left and had his best statistical season in yards, catches and TDs because he wasn't just used as a sideline threat. His route chart from PFF was way different with the cowboys because the OC utilized his talent and didn't live in their fears of turnovers.
