Leipzig stormed out to a 1-0 halftime lead before Michael Olise’s second half explosion reshaped everything. As injuries continue to pile up during the winter months, Bayern fans will be clamoring to see more Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala.
Bayern will only have three days to shift the focus to a Champions League match against the leaders of the Belgian Pro League, Union Saint-Gilloise. Union SG is likely facing elimination from the competition but will desperately try to find points against Bayern this week or Atalanta next week.
Prediction
Bayern wins 7-0. All four attackers will score in the first half, immediately breaking the spirit of Union SG’s defense. Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike will pile on a couple more goals in the second half, but nothing will be louder than Jamal Musiala scoring his first goal of the season in the dying minutes of the match.
