
So what is it? I don't think crappy graphics is a value, although I can undestand that stilized graphics can help avoiding the uncanny valley in which can fall more realistic games (specially with the limitations of standalone headsets). In any case low graphics is -probably- not the competititve advantage. So it's either simple mechanics (complex games may need more mental investment which may add to the friction of the platform?), or multiplayer, zero cost for users, the arms based locomotion, or a combination of all those. What is it? And can we destile it and make a good looking game that is successfull at the same time? Because for an adult used to simulators, Halff Life and Subnautica, watching that trailer can be very depressing.
