The noble and most ancient house of Beckham has suffered a fatal blow, and from its own heir, no less. On Sunday, eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham finally addressed the rumored estrangement between himself, his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, and the rest of the Beckham family in a scorched-Earth Instagram. TLDR? He will not be cooking spaghetti bolognese for them any time soon.
Over a series of six (six!!!!!) text-heavy Instagram stories, Brooklyn laid out the whole sordid tale, which Beckham watchers have been observing unfold since his 2023 wedding—which he makes clear is when the drama began.
As a refresher, rumors have swirled that Brooklyn and Nicola were on the outs with his fam since the two did not attend any of the three 50th birthday parties David Beckham held for himself in 2025. They also did not acknowledge his mom’s birthday or any of his brother’s birthdays, though Nicola did acknowledge his youngest sister Harper’s birthday in July. Brooklyn then posted a tribute to Nicola’s dad for his birthday, taking the birthday-related sparring to a whole new level.
Brooklyn also did not acknowledge his father’s knighthood in November. Then, shortly before Christmas, Cruz Beckham (the youngest boy) revealed that Brooklyn had blocked his entire family on Instagram in response to rumors that Victoria and David had unfollowed their son.
Now, with all that in mind, here’s the tea from Brooklyn’s post, in order of piping-hotness:
- Victoria bailed on making Nicola’s wedding dress “in the eleventh hour,” meaning Nicola needed to get a new dress at the last minute.
- Brooklyn’s brothers blocked him over the summer (not the other way around).
- David refused to hang out with the Peltz Beckhams outside his big 40th birthday bash, and when he did agree to see his son, he said Nicola couldn’t be there.
- Victoria would not help Nicola save displaced dogs from the LA fires.
- Victoria called Brooklyn and Nicola “evil” for seating their grandmothers at the head table with them.
- The Beckhams allegedly tried to get Brooklyn to sign away the rights to his name ahead of the wedding.
And most salacious of all:
- Victoria “hijacked” Brooklyn’s first dance with his wife and instead danced “inappropriately” on him in front of 500 people, including Marc Anthony.
So now the lines are drawn. It’s Beckham vs. Peltz Beckham, and only the strongest will survive. Personally, my money is on the latter. They’re scrappy. Also, not for nothing, but it took less than three weeks for one of Jezebel’s 2026 celebrity predictions to come true.
