A viewer in Bloomfield reached out to our NBC Connecticut Responds team for help with getting a refund of $679 for a rental van they never drove.
He said he visited The Home Depot in Bloomfield, and the clerk swiped his card multiple times, but the system was down and the clerk said he was unable to rent the van. His credit card was charged $679. Despite requesting a refund from the company and trying on his own for several months, he never got a refund.
So, he reached out to NBC Connecticut Responds for help.
Our team got a response from The Home Depot within a week.
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. After careful review, we have issued the customer a check and are happy that we were able to help make this right for our customer,” the company wrote.
A check for the full refund was mailed to him.
