Firefighters knock down fire at commercial building in Baldwin Park

A second alarm fire at a laundry facility inside a commercial building left extensive damage at two businesses in a Baldwin Park strip mall.

While the laundry facility did not suffer much damage, a Mexican restaurant and a flower shop in the commercial building suffered significant damage.

The fire was quickly knocked down by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel,  a spokesperson said today.

The blaze was reported at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 12000 block of Ramona Park, according to the fire department.

Capt. Daniel Dantic of LAFD said the cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire crews knocked the flames down at approximately 2 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
