
Beloved Southie small business Sal’s Ristorante & Pizzeria was robbed early Sunday morning. At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, a man, dressed in all black, including a face covering, rolled up on a scooter, broke the front door, entered, and stole cash.
The Boston Police Department was called, and a report was made.
Ten minutes later, Broadway’s Best was robbed.
The South Boston Chamber of Commerce commented on the two robberies in a social media post Sunday.
“Beyond the financial loss, this is a concerning and dangerous situation for our community,” the post said. “Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.”
