Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramarić regrets not making Bayern Munich move

Hoffenheim star Andrej Kramarić has had a great career and has been a stalwart for Die Kraichgauer since his 2016 move from Leicester.

During that time, Kramarić has had plenty of opportunities to leave the club for greener pastures. However, there is only one move that Kramarić says he regrets having turned down — a move to FC Bayern.

Kramarić detailed his feelings in an interview with Kicker (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):

Kicker: Do you feel like you missed out on something in your career?

Kramarić: “I can say it openly: Bayern Munich. In hindsight, it’s the only club I think I should have joined. But we’ll never know how things would have turned out. That was during the time of Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, and all the others; it was clear I wouldn’t have played as much as I did here [in Hoffenheim]. Financially, I would definitely have been better off. That’s the only thing I might regret; everything else didn’t particularly appeal to me. That’s why I’m still here.”

Kramarić likely played his hand correctly as it would have been tough for him to get playing time with Bayern Munich despite his quality. As for the money, well, Kramarić knows that he cannot get that back, but he has still enjoyed his career.

The veteran had a hat trick earlier this week vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach.
