Get to Know Carson Beck’s Parents, His Mom and Dad
1. His Parents Have Been Involved With His Football Career All Along
Carson Beck’s parents, Chris and Tracy Beck, have been close to Beck during his start in Jacksonville youth leagues to being in the national eye of college sports.
Carson became a big name with the University of Georgia Bulldogs, but in 2025, he decided to transfer to the University of Miami. Now, he’s heading up the Hurricanes in the championship game. He also has a lucrative N.I.L. deal that includes partnerships with brands such as Beats by Dre and Chipotle, according to a report from Front Office Sports.
But, his parents care more about the man he is than his money or performance. “I am so proud of him, the man he’s become, the teammate he’s become on and off the field,” Chris told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in October 2024. “He’s a selfless leader, humbled, and loves the process and hard work it takes to be successful. He loves the men in that locker room. Time to have fun and enjoy the moment.”
2. His Mom Gets ‘Nervous’ Seeing Him Play
As a mom, it has to be difficult to see your kid on the field, at time getting roughed up during a play. His mom Tracy admits that it’s not always easy.
According to The Athletic, she revealed that Carson has told her not to be nervous, but it’s hard. “Mom, don’t ever be nervous,” Carson told her after one game, she shared. “I’ve got this.”
3. Carson Beck’s Dad is a Former Football Player
Like father like son. Carson’s dad Chris was a three-year letterman at the U.S. Naval Academy in the early 1990s, according to a report from The Baltimore Sun. There, Chris played linebacker and stayed connected to the program after suffering a knee injury ended his final season.
So, Chris has been passionate about football his entire life, and it makes sense that he would introduce his son to the sport. Also, before Carson became a quarterback, he also played the linebacker position, just like his dad.
4. Tracy Was a Professional Dancer in the NBA
Dancing is also a sport, and Beck’s mom Tracy was on the University of Maryland’s dance team, according to a report from The Athletic.
It didn’t stop there. She also served as a dancer for the NBA’s Washington Bullets, now known as the Washington Wizards. She met Chris years later and they married, but they’re now divorced.
5. Tracy Leads a Tailgate for Carson Beck
According to Georgia’s DawgNation website, Tracy watches games with friends and family who proudly call themselves “Beck’s Brigade.”
“They just truly rallied around us,” Tracy told the publication in October 2023. “Not just Carson but it is hard to be the quarterback’s Mom. It is so fun and so exciting but you lose a lot of sleep.”
She added, “You pray a lot. There’s just all there to kind of lift us in every moment. Good or bad. It meant a lot.”
