J.K. Dobbins Sparks Return Speculation With Telling Instagram Post

J.K. Dobbins didn’t need to say much to get the attention of Broncos fans.

His latest Instagram story post did it for him.

Just minutes ago, Dobbins shared a photo of himself coming out of the Broncos tunnel in full uniform with a simple but telling message: “Soon.”

This post had no big caption or explanation, just a clear signal that something is coming.

For a running back who suffered what was initially believed to be a season-ending foot injury back in Week 10, the timing of that post speaks volumes.

Just a few hours before Dobbins’ post, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos are opening the practice window for the veteran RB.

This report sparked discussion about Dobbins having a legitimate chance to return against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.

But the most important part of this development didn’t come from an NFL Insider. It came from J.K.Dobbins himself.

This new instagram story has created even more buzz and excitement about his potential return on Sunday.

Why the Broncos Desperately Need J.K. Dobbins

With J.K. Dobbins in the lineup for the first 10 games of the season, the Broncos were a top-10 rushing attack, averaging around 5.0 yards per carry.

Dobbins himself logged 153 carries for 772 yards and four touchdowns.

Once he went down, everything changed on the ground.

Without Dobbins, Denver’s run game cratered to the bottom 10 in the league.

As much as he’s been a spark in the receiving game, rookie RB RJ Harvey has averaged just 3.8 yards per carry.

Jaleel McLaughlin dipped to 3.3 as well.

In the Divisional Round win over Buffalo, one of the NFL’s worst run defenses, Denver had virtually nothing on the ground, forcing the offense to survive without balance.

Now, with Bo Nix sidelined and Jarrett Stidham under center, the margin for error is even thinner.

Denver cannot afford another one-dimensional offensive performance.

Why J.K. Dobbins’ Return Could Change Everything

The challenge only intensifies this week.

New England enters the AFC Championship ranked fifth in the NFL against the run, a far more disciplined and physical unit upfront than the Bills were.

If Denver struggled to generate rushing lanes against Buffalo, doing so against the Patriots without J.K. Dobbins would put immense pressure on Stidham to win the game through the air.

This would give Denver little to no chance to win the game.

Dobbins’ potential return changes the entire equation.

His ability to generate positive yardage on early downs would give Denver a legitimate path to staying on schedule, controlling tempo, and keeping New England’s defense from teeing off on a backup quarterback.

Establishing the run will be the biggest key to this game as Stidham only has four career NFL starts.

Nothing on J.K. Dobbins status for Sunday is official yet and we will know more throughout the week with his practice schedule.

But when a player posts “Soon” in the middle of championship week, it sparks more than just optimism.
