FAYETTEVILLE – After playing three of its first five SEC gams on the road, #20 Arkansas will play three of its next four at home, starting Tuesday (Jan. 20) versus #14 Vanderbilt. Tipoff at Bud Walton Arena is set for 8 pm (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Vanderbilt won its first 16 games of the season but fell at Texas last Wednesday and to the defending national champion on Saturday.

After Vanderbilt, Arkansas will host LSU on Saturday (Jan. 24). Tipoff at Bud Walton Arena is set for 7:30 pm and the game will be televised on SEC Network.

NOTES:

  • This will be the 47th meeting between Arkansas and Vanderbilt. The Razorbacks own a 31-15 advantage in the series, including a 30-14 margin in SEC meetings.
  • In games played in Fayetteville, Arkansas leads 16-5.
  • Arkansas has won 9 of the last 12 games. However, Vandy did win three straight recently, including two games at Bud Walton Arena.
  • Coach Cal now has 890 on-court wins and is 10 shy of reaching 900 wins as head coach of an NCAA Division I program.
  • With his six-assist effort at Georgia, Darius Acuff Jr. now leads the SEC in assists per game (6.3). He ranks 19th in the NCAA overall and second among NCAA freshmen.
  • Sometimes the stats don’t match the score. Saturday’s 14-point loss at Georgia was one of those games for Arkansas.
  • Arkansas out-rebounded Georgia 43-35, but fell to 10-2 this year and 23-4 in the Cal era in such games.
  • Arkansas forced Georgia into 17 turnovers but fell to 4-1 this year and 12-2 in the Cal era in such games.
  • On a personal level, Karter Knox grabbed seven rebounds, but Arkansas fell to 8-1 this year and 13-3 overall in games Knox gets at least 5 boards. Darius Acuff Jr. scored 20 points and Arkansas fell to 12-3 this year when at least one Hog scores at least 20.
