Remember a few years back when Arizona tried to pass a law where they were going to arrest illegals. The Feds sued them forcing them to stop saying that the Feds have control nationwide over the issue. Smart states allow local law enforcement for work WITH ICE in order to let them get their work done in the safest way possible. The protestors seem to want zero immigration enforcement, which is insane, no country can survive, or be a "country" with zero immigration laws or enforcement.
Looks like, more related to the fraud issue you mention, is the extreme 'benefits' fraud going on in some states, Billions of dollars, with a B, HUGE amounts of money wasted, that could have gone to American citizens who really need it. We need laws and we need enforcement.
