Comment on Aurora council decision leaves heated QuikTrip car wash battle in limbo by F.Vera
High quality development is what there trying to call it now? I'm a resident in this neighborhood and city council never gave a crap about this community and what they build in our neighborhood. Now they want to act like they care? They didn't even invite the local residents their supposed to be representing in this decision-making. Me personally it's about how many car washes are around or bringing high quality development, if this was the case they should be looking at how many liquor stores are around, junky car dealerships posing as reputable businesses using parking lots to sell their cars, how many Mexican restaurants and food trucks are all concentrated in that same area using parking lots to setup that aren't even zoned for that type of use. Then there's the issue the city putting up no parking signs in our neighborhood streets causing residents in other buildings to park in other people's parking lots or get ticketed for parking in a public street that has no reason for these signs to exist export to make money for the city. I asked one of the city workers that was trying to give everyone a ticket he said they where out there because the owners of the property's asked for them to be put in, but when we asked the owner's of our property they said they didn't even know the city had put the signs up and why would we ask for them. Where else would tenants park. Last if the community would have been invited you would have found out the real truth about Gleem and it's employees. They are rude, don't care what you think and sure don't care if they damage your vehicle as I'm told by people who have gone to this location on E Colfax Ave and their plans are mediocre and the rates are outrageous. They don't even offer what Super Star Car wash offers and their washes prices are better and well worth the the price. Nothing they offer is worth the price or headache. They need to go away not QuickTrip. Just all about politics and kickbacks not the residents and the community. All of them are sellouts.
