BYU Basketball’s got a big time match-up coming up Saturday night in Lubbock, Texas against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
The BYU Cougars are 16-1 after a close call on Wednesday in Provo, where they ended up victorious over TCU by a final score of 76-70. That win also brought BYU to 4-0 in Big 12 play.
Texas Tech is 13-4 on the year and 3-1 in the Big 12. The Red Raiders last played on Wednesday, at home in Lubbock, against the University of Utah. Tech defeated Utah by a final score of 88-74. Their other conference wins are against Colorado and Oklahoma State, while the loss was to Houston, and just barely — 69-65 the final score.
Saturday will be BYU and Texas Tech’s 8th meeting. Texas Tech has the 4-3 edge — BYU won the first three meetings, while Texas Tech has won the past four. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor has the game as a tossup, giving each time about a 50 percent chance of winning.
